The IGNITE Impact Challenge Terms & Conditions

 

ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY, AS APPLICABLE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN AND ANY OTHER RULES OR TERMS OF WHICH GIVE YOU NOTICE IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST (COLLECTIVELY, THE “TERMS”). UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS IN THEIR ENTIRETY, YOU (1) MUST NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST AND (2) ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE PRIZES UNDER THE CONTEST.

 

1 - Eligibility

The IGNITE Impact Challenge (the “Contest”) is open to United States citizens at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of submission pursuant to Section 3. Employees, officers, directors and contractors of GG Professionals, Inc. (“GGP”), Games for Change, or IGNITE National, and their respective immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such individual are not eligible. Prizes shall be administered and distributed to the Winners by GGP using funds provided by The Bigglesworth Family Foundation.. There is no purchase necessary to enter. Participation in the Contest constitutes the Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and GGP’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a Prize is contingent upon the Participant fulfilling all requirements set forth herein and adherence to the Contest’s rules available at https://the-ignite-impact-challenge.secure-platform.com/a/page/challenge-rules. The Contest includes the following five (5) categories: (i) SNAP & Medicaid Impacts Category, (ii) Student Loans Impacts Category, (iii) Immigration & Border Impacts Category, (iv) Energy & Climate Impacts Category, and (v) Tax Impacts Category.  Each eligible individual, or each group of individuals comprising a team, that submits a valid entry shall be referred to herein as a “Participant.” For clarity, a “Participant” may consist of a single individual or multiple individuals submitting together as a team.

If a Submission is made by a team, each individual member of the team must independently meet all eligibility requirements set forth herein. 

In the case of a team Submission, the team must designate one individual as the “Team Captain” at the time of submission. The Team Captain shall serve as the primary contact for all Contest communications and prize administration. Any Prize awarded to a team will be paid solely to the Team Captain, who shall be solely responsible for distributing Prize funds among team members. GGP shall have no responsibility or liability with respect to the allocation or distribution of Prize funds among team members. Each team member shall be jointly and severally responsible for compliance with these Terms.

The SNAP & Medicaid Impacts Category is intended for Participants to share videos of individual or community impacts related to SNAP and/or Medicaid issues driven by Public Law 119-21 also known as “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act.”

The Student Loans Impacts Category is intended for Participants to share videos of individual or community impacts related to student loan issues driven by Public Law 119-21.

The Immigration & Border Impacts Category is intended for Participants to share videos of individual or community impacts related to immigration and/or United States national border issues driven by Public Law 119-21.

The Energy & Climate Impacts Category is intended for Participants to share videos of individual or community impacts related to energy and/or climate issues driven by Public Law 119-21.

The Tax Impacts Category is intended for Participants to share videos of individual or community impacts related to personal or business tax issues driven by Public Law 119-21.

 

2 - Sponsor

This Contest is sponsored by GG Professionals, Inc. (“GGP”). The Contest is administered by GGP in cooperation with IGNITE National and Games for Change (collectively, the “Administrators”). Prize funding for the Contest is provided by The Bigglesworth Family Foundation and all Prizes will be administered and distributed to the Winners by GGP.

 

3 - Registration and Submission Period

In order to be considered for the Contest, individuals and teams must register at https://ignitenational.org/2026-impact-video-challenge by submitting the required information at the website specified above. Submissions for the Contest open on April 10, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and shall remain open through May 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Submission Period”). Winners of the Contest will be announced on or around September 2026 via the IGNITE Impact Challenge website available at https://ignitenational.org/2026-impact-video-challenge and each Winner will be notified pursuant to Section 5.

As part of registration, Participants must certify that they have read and agree to these Terms and that all information provided is true and accurate.

 

4 - How to Enter

During the Submission Period, Participants may submit an entry via https://ignitenational.org/2026-impact-video-challenge adhering to all themes and stated requirements within the Contest’s rules available at [RULES WEB ADDRESS], as applicable for each of the five categories; provided that, in order to qualify for a Prize the submitted video is in MP4 format. (“Submission”) by no later than May 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT. Limit one (1) Submission per category per Participant. An individual may not submit more than one Submission per category, whether individually or as part of a team. GGP reserves the right to confirm a Participant’s eligibility for the Contest. Submissions received from any individual in excess of the stated limitation and/or after the Submission Period will be void. GGP reserves the right to change or omit individual names, particularly if they are, in GGP’s sole discretion, offensive or obscene, or violate the intellectual property of others.

 

5 - Content Standards

Submissions must not:

  • Contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or violent content;
  • Contain knowingly false statements presented as fact;
  • Infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
  • Include personal information of third parties without consent;
  • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law.

GGP reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Submission that violates these standards or that GGP determines could harm the integrity, reputation, or objectives of the Contest.

 

6 - Finalists and Winner Selection

All eligible Submissions in each Contest Category shall be evaluated by a panel of judges, all of whom have relevant experience in media or political science, selected by GGP and, in their sole discretion, such panel of judges shall determine the First Prize Winner, Second Prize Winner, and Third Prize Winner from each Contest Category (collectively, the “Winner(s)”).  For each Contest Category, one (1) First Prize Winner, one (1) Second Prize Winner, and one (1) Third Prize Winner will be selected by the panel of judges based on quality, creativity, and relation to the judging rubric. Winners will be contacted by GGP from the following email address: impactchallenge@ignitenational.org. GGP will make reasonable efforts to notify each Winner at the email address provided. If any Winner does not respond to the email notification within five (5) days of its transmission, the prize will be automatically forfeited. In the event a Winner is disqualified or forfeits the Prize, GGP reserves the right, but is not obligated, to select an alternate Winner based on the original judging criteria.

Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with receipt and use of any of the Prizes listed below. GGP may issue IRS Form 1099 as required by law.

 

7 - Prizes (“Prizes”)

Prizes will be awarded in each of the following five (5) categories:

For Each Category (SNAP & Medicaid; Student Loans; Immigration & Border; Energy & Climate; Tax):

  • First Prize: Five Thousand U.S. Dollars (US$5,000)
  • Second Prize: Three Thousand U.S. Dollars (US$3,000)
  • Third Prize: Two Thousand U.S. Dollars (US$2,000)

For each category, GGP shall award one (1) First Prize, one (1) Second Prize, and one (1) Third Prize.

Each Prize shall be paid within ninety (90) days following the public announcement of Winners (expected to occur in or around September 2026, but subject to change based on judging timelines).

To receive a Prize, the applicable Winner (or Team Captain, in the case of a team) must complete and execute all required documentation provided by GGP, including but not limited to applicable tax forms and prize acceptance documentation. Failure to complete required documentation within the stated time period may result in forfeiture of the Prize, and GGP reserves the right, but is not obligated, to select an alternate Winner.

If a Winning Submission is submitted by a team, the Prize will be paid solely to the designated Team Captain. GGP shall have no responsibility for distributing Prize funds among team members.

 

8 - Publicity Release

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes each Participant’s consent for GGP to utilize their name, likeness, image, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown, state, and/or country for furtherance of the Contest and for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. Each Participant further agrees that their Submission may appear on the IGNITE Impact Challenge’s website as well as GGP’s, Games for Change’s, and IGNITE National’s websites and social media channels (e.g., Discord, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitch). Winners may also be required to sign and return a further release of liability, declaration of eligibility and, where lawful, a publicity consent agreement, as a condition of receiving a Prize. Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions shall be grounds for forfeiture of a Prize.

 

9 - Intellectual Property; Limited License to GGP; and Disclaimer

Each Participant represents and warrants that:

  • The Submission is original and created by the Participant;
  • The Participant owns or has obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit the Submission;
  • Any individuals appearing in the Submission have provided appropriate consent for use of their name, image, and likeness;
  • The Submission does not violate any applicable law or contractual obligation.

 

10 - Ownership

Participants retain all rights, title, and interest in and to their respective Submissions, including all associated intellectual property rights. A Submission does not grant GGP or any affiliated entities any ownership rights in the Submission except as expressly provided herein.

 

11 - Limited License to GGP

By submitting a Submission, each Participant grants to GGP a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, and perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, edit, adapt, excerpt, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit the Submission, in whole or in part, for promotional, marketing, archival, educational, and documentation purposes relating to the Contest and future IGNITE initiatives.

 

12 - Disclaimer

Each Participant acknowledges and agrees that any use of third-party intellectual property or other proprietary materials in a Contest Submission is undertaken at the Participant’s sole risk and responsibility. Participant represents and warrants that its Submission(s), and GGP’s receipt, review, use, display, or other exploitation thereof as contemplated by these Terms, will not infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any intellectual property rights (including copyright, trademark, and patent rights), proprietary rights, trade secrets, personality rights, rights of publicity, privacy rights, contract rights or restrictions, or other right of any third-party. Each Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold the Released Parties (defined below) harmless from any third-party claim that the Submission or its use pursuant to these Terms infringes or violates any rights of a third party. The Contest is intended as a forum for individual expression. GGP does not endorse, verify, or adopt any statements made in Submissions. Participants are solely responsible for the content of their Submissions.

 

13 - No Endorsement

The views and opinions expressed in any Submission are solely those of the Participant and do not reflect the views of GGP, Games for Change, or IGNITE National. Participation in the Contest does not imply endorsement of any political position or policy viewpoint by GGP.

 

14 - Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

While the IGNITE Impact Challenge values innovation, the Contest is a community showcase—Submissions must reflect original thinking and purposeful direction by the Participants. AI tools may be used in the creation of Submissions, but human creativity and oversight must remain central. All Submissions must disclose if AI was used, including listing any specific tools used in creation of the Submission. Submissions that show a lack of human input, authorship, or review may be disqualified at GGP’s sole discretion. Failure to disclose AI usage when required may result in disqualification.

 

15 - Release of Liability; Indemnification

Participant (and, in the case of a team, each member jointly and severally) agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GGP, IGNITE National, Games for Change, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, and the individuals serving as judges for the Contest, and their respective companies of employ, and the officers, directors, employees, and agents thereof, (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of the Participant’s participation in the Contest or any actual or alleged breach of these Terms, including without limitation that the Participant’s Submission infringes upon any common law or statutory rights or intellectual property rights of any third-party, or the Participant’s receipt, use, or misuse of the Prize or any component thereof. Prizes are awarded without restriction on use, except as required by applicable law.

 

16 - Limitations of Liability

The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by the Participant, printing or transcription errors, or by any of the equipment, platforms, or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in network hardware or software; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the registration process or the Contest; (iv) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of registrations and/or Submissions; or (v) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the Participant’s participation in the Contest or receipt, use, or misuse of the Prize or any component thereof. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected Submissions, whether due to technical malfunction, human error, or otherwise.

 

17 - Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for Contest administration, Winner notification, and promotional purposes. GGP will not sell personal data to third parties. Participants may request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting impactchallenge@ignitenational.org and as further detailed in the Privacy Policy available here https://the-ignite-impact-challenge.secure-platform.com/a/page/privacy-policy.

 

18 - No Class Action; Waiver

By participating in the Contest, each Participant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this Contest or any Prize awarded (if applicable) shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Los Angeles County, California; (ii) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual and verifiable out-of-pocket costs incurred, including but not limited to costs associated with entering this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) to the extent allowed by applicable law, under no circumstances will the Participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages and/or any other damages, other than actual and verifiable out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

 

19 - Governing Law

These Terms and the rights and obligations of any Participant or GGP in connection with the Contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state’s laws.

 

20 - Severability; Interpretation

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Terms shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In the event there is an inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, notifications, or announcements and these Terms, these Terms shall prevail, govern, and control.

 

21 - General Conditions

GGP reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond GGP’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by GGP in its sole discretion. GGP reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual or Participant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be in violation of these Terms or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any individual or Participant to deliberately undermine the operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, GGP reserves the right to seek damages from any such individual or Participant to the fullest extent permitted by law. GGP’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Without limiting the foregoing, GGP shall not be liable for failure to conduct the Contest or award any Prize due to acts of God, governmental action, public health emergency, labor disputes, internet outages, or other events beyond its reasonable control.

GGP reserves the right to determine whether multiple Submissions constitute participation by the same individual or coordinated group and may disqualify duplicative or coordinated entries submitted in violation of the Submission limits.

If GGP determines that a Participant has engaged in fraud, misrepresentation, or manipulation of the Contest process, GGP reserves the right to disqualify such Participant and seek any available legal remedies.

 

22 - Modification and Change to Contest Terms

GGP reserves the right to amend these Terms; provided that any material changes affecting eligibility, prize amounts, or submission requirements will not apply retroactively to Submissions already received.  It is each Participant’s responsibility to review these Terms for any changes. After changes have been made to these Terms, a Participant’s continued participation in the Contest constitutes an acceptance to all changes.
